The Oak Tree of Peover is a lovely oak building that blends seamlessly into the woodland surroundings. With floor to ceiling windows, natural light floods the ceremony and reception rooms. You feel like you’re outdoors with views of the surrounding oak trees, making it the perfect all-year-round wedding venue, experiencing nature while staying cosy.

For the warmer months, a large terrace overlooks the pretty grounds and pond, and there’s the option to hold your ceremony at the outdoor pavilion. Either way, you’ll feel at one with nature on your special day.

Abbeywood Gardens

Abeywood Estate is a charming country house with delightful gardens looking out to the Utkinton Hills. With wildlife walks and 27 acres of woodland, this venue is perfect for nature lovers.

The wedding spaces complement the outdoors with options such as the glass house, with wall-to-ceiling windows, The Orangery with views of the exotic garden, and The Barn for a more rustic feel. Couples can even marry outdoors under the gazebo to really make the most of the beautiful outdoor space.

Natural light is a wedding videographer’s dream, and with outdoor spaces and glass rooms on offer at this venue, it’s just perfect for a wedding film.

Delamere Manor

Delamere Manor is epic on every level. Couples can choose from an array of ceremony locations, including a jetty right on the edge of the manor’s huge lake, on an elevated terrace overlooking the pristine gardens, or even under an ornate folly.

Wedding breakfasts are held in the courtyard with a fully retractable roof for indoor or outdoor dining depending on the great British weather. Once wined and dined, you and your guests can dance the night away in the venue’s private nightclub (that was once Gary Barlow’s recording studio!)

Owen House Wedding Barn is a venue that has thought of everything, from a bright and airy beauty shed complete with prosecco fridge, to a secret break out room for taking time just the two of you. There’s lots of little touches everywhere that make Owen House extra special.

The rustic feel is charming, with quirky hay bails for photo opportunities and the sound of nearby livestock (the venue is a working farm). Magical photo/video opportunities are plentiful with an exclusive shooting galley adorned with hundreds of fairy lights.

Hilltop Country House

Hilltop Country House is a family-run business and Clare and Martin take care of everything, so that the only thing the couple needs to focus on is having an amazing day. Couples can choose from 3 locations for their ceremony, including the marquee, garden room, or outdoor terrace. All locations are surrounded by the glorious gardens offering so many incredible photo/video opportunities.

Even though Hilltop can cater for over 150 guests, it still retains an intimate, personal feel compared to larger venues.

If you’ve always dreamt of an enchanted forest wedding, then this one is for you. Cheshire Woodland Weddings is a unique concept where couples can incorporate activities into their special day such as archery, falconry, or segway.

The open-sided barn allows you to enjoy the woodland surroundings while enjoying a glass of fizz and guests can toast marshmallows over one of the outdoor fire pits. There’s lots of flexibility with this venue as you can hire in your own caterers and can choose to go for full exclusivity of the site if you wish.

Movement and action is great for wedding videography and there’s certainly lots on offer with Cheshire Woodland Weddings’ range of activities, as well as magnificent woodland scenery.

Peckforton Castle truly is the venue for a fairytale wedding. Set in the Peckforton Hills in south west Cheshire, this magnificent castle is surrounded by lush forest and rolling countryside, making the drone footage even more impressive! The surrounding woodlands and pristine front courtyard provide stunning backdrops for portrait photos/video and for reception drinks in the sunshine.

The inside of the castle is as impressive as the outside, with the spectacular Great Hall that can seat up to 165 for your ceremony. This grand room has medieval decor, a vaulted ceiling, and beautiful stain-glass windows with a bay area perfect for a string quartet.

Sandhole Oak Barn

Sandhole Oak Barn is a picture perfect location with views across the Cheshire countryside. Couples can choose to marry outdoors on the edge of the lake under a clocktower or inside the pretty barn with gorgeous oak beams. The lakeside setting is gorgeous for reception drinks or an outdoor evening BBQ while watching the sun disappear over the horizon.

Soughton Hall

From the moment you drive down the long imposing driveway, you get a sense of the luxury in store at Soughton Hall. Not technically in Cheshire, this Georgian country house makes the list as it’s so close to the border and is only around 12 miles from Chester.

The exterior of this grade II listed house is absolutely stunning, as are the interior rooms, including the opulent drawing room perfect for your ceremony. With only 15 bedrooms, this venue is available for exclusive hire and the service is truly personal.

Thornton Manor

Although Thornton Manor is a magnificent country house, it has so much more to offer for weddings. There are four locations throughout the grounds where couples can choose to marry, including the manor house itself, a pretty pavilion, and 2 fabulous marquee spaces – with one right on the water.

If exquisitely designed high ceilings and ornate decor is your cup of tea, then the manor house is perfect for you. If you need to accommodate a large guest list, then the walled garden marquee is a huge space for a glamorous wedding.
