05 Dec Nunsmere Hall Cheshire – Holly and Katy’s Wedding Film
Nunsmere Hall is a spectacular hotel and wedding venue nestled within Delamere Forest. When planning their wedding, Katie and Holly had no doubts that it was the venue of their dreams with its country house charm and incredible grounds. Originally planned for earlier in the year, the couple were forced to postpone sadly, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and were able to go ahead with an intimate celebration in October.
They said that the wedding video was an important aspect for them to be able to share their special day with those that couldn’t be there. I hope you enjoy watching the highlights film as much as I loved filming it.
Nunsmere Hall Wedding Highlights Film
A huge lake that almost circles the entire property gives the illusion that the venue is set on an island, and this made for some incredible drone footage. The autumn colours were so pretty, and you can get a glimpse of the location of Nunsmere Hall’s brand new marquee for larger wedding receptions.
Holly and her bridal party were getting ready in one of the elegant and individually designed bedrooms. Holly was incredibly calm and looked stunning in her ball gown wedding dress. Her niece and flower girl Evie twirled like a princess in her own ball gown and was so adorable the whole day.
The Ceremony
The ceremony room was absolutely gorgeous, with huge blossom trees and pink uplighting. Katie waited nervously as Holly and her bridal party made their way down the grand staircase to the ceremony hall.
Holly walked down the aisle to classical music from their string duo and the couple exchanged the cutest smiles when they saw each other for the first time.
After having to postpone from earlier in the year, it was so lovely to see the special moment when Holly and Katie said their vows to one another and exchanged rings.
The Couples Shoot
The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful at Nunsmere and really were a dream for myself and the photographer Stacey Oliver. The jetty provides a lovely setting for unobstructed lakeside shots and the surrounding woodlands are great for ambling around in private.
The Reception
The formal gardens are fab for family photos, located just outside the main building. Katy and Holly had pink smoke bombs during their group shot to complement their colour scheme. I think the smoke was a bit much for some people — I just love the expression on Holly’s dad’s face below 🙂
The wedding party sat down to a delicious wedding breakfast and I can testify to how good the food is at Nunsmere as I was treated to the chicken. With it being an intimate wedding, the couple chose a U-shaped seating arrangement, which was perfect as every guest could see and speak to everyone else.
Speeches were given by Katie’s brother and Best Man, Gareth, and true to his responsibilities, there was a bit of ribbing, but mostly just heartwarming sentiment.
After Holly and Katie cut the cake and enjoyed an evening BBQ, there was a spectacular firework display to complete the day. Guests gathered outside with glow sticks and watched the impressive 5-minute display put on by Blitz Fireworks.
Nunsmere Hall Wedding Videographer
Nunsmere Hall is a really special wedding venue in Cheshire that can accommodate intimate weddings — as with Katie and Holly — through to large receptions of up to 600 in the large marquee. What I love about this venue is that everything is in close proximity, with the marquee just a minute’s walk from the main building and great spots for a couple’s shoot within a few minutes’ walk.
Nunsmere is a country house hotel; however, couples can hire the venue exclusively with plenty of rooms for friends and family to stay with you.
