10 Nov Cheshire Woodland Weddings – Wedding Film
Cheshire Woodland Weddings is an enchanting wedding venue, where couples can marry beneath the trees and party the night away in a rustic barn. I was lucky enough to recently film Lola and Sam’s wedding at this amazing location.
After a long spring and summer lockdown due to Covid, September came, and the reduced restrictions enabled Lola and Sam to go ahead with the woodland weddings of their dreams. They were joined by their closest friends and family to celebrate.
Below is the highlights film from Lola and Sam’s wedding day at Cheshire Woodland Weddings, along with some stills from the footage.
Cheshire Woodland Weddings Highlights Film
It was a stunningly beautiful and unexpectedly warm September day. I took the opportunity to capture some drone footage of the miles of Cheshire woodlands and countryside that make up that area of Northwich and beyond.
Thousands of fairy lights and little details, such as picture frames and a swing, transform the woodland into an enchanted forest. With so many trees to hide behind, it was easy to blend into the background and capture those natural moments as guests chatted away while waiting for the bride’s arrival.
The ceremony area is absolutely magical with a cute thatched hut and sunlight streaming through the tall trees. For those not-so-sunny days, the ceremony area has large parasols to cover the guest seating, while the couple is protected within the wooden hut.
The Music
To complement the lovely location, Lola and Sam had arranged for Jessica Louise Sutton to play the harp throughout the ceremony and drinks reception. Jessica’s repertoire was incredible, from classical pieces to popular modern songs, even including some Disney hits! I would highly recommend her after hearing her play so beautifully.
The Ceremony
Lola and Sam had a unique and wonderful entrance as they walked down the v-shaped aisle at the same time and joined one another to walk the remaining part. Celebrant SJ led a gorgeous, heartfelt ceremony and had really spent time getting to know Lola and Sam to tell their story. I’ve worked with Sarah-Jane a few times and she is such a wonderful and friendly person. I would highly recommend her as your celebrant.
Lola and Sam were showered in confetti before they enjoyed drinks in the sunshine with their guests. They also couldn’t resist taking a pew on the wooden rope swing with a glass of bubbly, I mean, who wouldn’t?
The lovely Louise Jacob then coordinated everyone for their family photos as guests also enjoyed canapes and drinks by the water fountain. I absolutely adored the colour scheme of Lola’s bridesmaid dresses and flowers.
The Couples Shoot
Louise and I took Lola and Sam off briefly to take advantage of the glorious surroundings for their couples shoot. Although Sam and Lola said they weren’t very comfortable being in front of the camera, they soon relaxed, and we got some lovely shots.
The Entertainment
Cheshire Woodland Weddings offers various activities that you can choose to include in your special day. Activities such as segway, football darts, archery, and air rifles are available and are a great way to entertain your guests.
